In this spotlight, one of our long-time colleagues, Zsolt shares why he chose Black Cell, what keeps him here, and the moments that made their journey truly unforgettable.

 
  • Why did you choose BlackCell? How did you decide you wanted to work here?
    I decided to make a change back in 2018. I was looking for a company that would meet my expectations both professionally and where I wouldn’t have to work with “old” people who were stuck in their ways. At that time, I met with Black Cell’s leaders and experts at several events (e.g., Hacktivity, ProDay), and what I experienced matched my expectations.
  • How would you describe BlackCell in three words?
    Together, further, even further. Sorry, that makes four 😀
  • What do you like most about BlackCell?
    Should any difficulties arise, we will try to solve them together, whether personal or professional.
  • Who would you recommend the company to?
    Anyone who feels committed to creating IT security for customers, whether through sales activities related to services, awareness raising, auditing, hardening, or incident management.
  • What positive surprises have you had with the company?
    Successful foreign relationships (whether cooperative or customer relationships) always surprise me, and I am always very happy about them!
  • Tell us about a BlackCell success you are proud of!
    Thanks to professional and any other management support, I have had several publications appear in Cyber Defense E-magazine. I am proud of these, as well as the fact that, as a member of ISACA, I was able to represent Black Cell as a mentor to students at the National University of Public Service during their professional internship in 2024. I also considered it a success when I was able to lead the SeConSys regulatory working group for a year and a half, also representing Black Cell. Professionally, I am most proud of the ISO 27001 certification I achieved for one of my clients!
  • Tell us about your favorite BlackCell experience!
    That is interesting, my favorite story is related to a client and a physical security audit. When I arrived at the client’s premises, no one at the reception asked me what was in my backpack (it was a laptop, of course, nothing else). My colleague and I did a walk-through in certain places, with doors open and people loading goods, we were able to enter a secure room without being checked, where there were things of national interest (let’s call them assets) that we could have destroyed with any bomb hidden in a bag. To this day, I still tell this story to clients who have a false sense of physical security.
    If you don’t mind, I’d like to tell you two stories. The other one is related to attending a Christmas party. Somewhere in Pest, a house was rented for a Christmas party, and colleagues hacked the camera system during our manager’s speech 😀 It was a fun and enjoyable experience.
  • Who among your colleagues has had the greatest influence on you and why?
    Béla Droppa, for his extraordinary work ethic, quick assessment skills, vast knowledge, and professionalism. Why him? I think that even when I don’t feel like working, he still manages to motivate me.
  • Why is it worth applying here?
    Because you become part of a young team where high-level professional work is carried out, you can work for both Hungarian and international organizations, and management tries to provide you with work that suits your preferences.
  • How has BlackCell helped you in terms of your future?
    I would like to emphasize that as a family-friendly workplace, when I need to take care of my children’s affairs, no one stands in my way, but Black Cell supports me. Black Cell helped me both professionally and financially in obtaining CISA certification and several Microsoft certifications. This was very important for my future, as was the fact that when I moved to Germany with my family, I received and continue to receive help in maintaining my employment and optimizing my circumstances. For this, I am extremely grateful!
  • What kind of community/social experience does BlackCell offer?
    Unfortunately, I don’t visit Hungary very often, but when I’m home, there’s always some kind of get-together, professional and friendly discussions. We’ve tasted wine together with an interesting lecture on wine history at the office, but if that doesn’t work out, my colleagues are also available for a toast and professional knowledge sharing within the framework of Teams meetings.
  • What is one or two sentences you would use to convince others to apply to BlackCell?
    The team is great, the working conditions are excellent. If you want to find out what “Never give on the top left!” means, sign up and I’ll tell you over a glass of wine…
